Daniel Arbenz, Director of Operations South China and General Manager of InterContinental Shenzhen

SHENZHEN, CHINA- SEPTEMBER, 2017-InterContinental Hotel Group is pleased to announce Mr. Daniel Arbenz as the Director of Operations South China and General Manager of InterContinental Shenzhen. Effective from 1^st September, Mr. Arbenz will also oversee other IHG properties in South China. 

中国，深圳—2017年9月 — 洲际酒店集团荣幸地宣布艾宾斯先生(Daniel Arbenz) 为洲际酒店集团华南区运营总监兼深圳华侨城洲际大酒店总经理。除了掌管深圳华侨城洲际大酒店之外，艾宾斯先生还将负责洲际酒店集团华南区酒店的管理和监督工作。

As Switzerland national, Mr Arbenz graduated with a Bachelor of Management in Hotel Management from Swiss Hotel Management School Montana and Higher Institute of Hotel Management Lucerne and then started his career in Switzerland. During his more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, he has been involved in many hotel openings and operations with his vast experience and leadership abilities. He held numerous senior management positions in Australia, Indonesia, Hongkong and Mainland China. As a leader who believes in continuous learning and development, Mr. Arbenz completed the General Manager’s Programme Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and holds a Diploma in Advanced Management and Business Administration of The University of Hong Kong & Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management.

艾宾斯先生毕业于瑞士酒店管理学院，其酒店管理生涯始于瑞士，足迹遍及瑞士、澳大利亚、印度尼西亚、香港及中国大陆地区并担任要职。在此期间，艾宾斯先生积累了众多酒店筹开、运营管理经验。并且，不断进取的精神帮助他先后参与美国康奈尔大学工商与酒店管理学院总经理项目以及取得香港大学经济与工商管理学院高级工商管理文凭。

Mr. Arbenz is with IHG for 20 years and is a very well respected member of the team. He started in China at the Holiday Inn Beijing Lido, lead Crowne Plaza Wangfujing through a renovation and opened Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace for the Olympic Games. He then assumed his first InterContinental hotel with InterContinental Beijing Beichen and after the Olympics laid a solid performance foundation among luxury the hotels in Beijing. During this time, Mr Arbenz served also as the Regional General Manager of North-East China of IHG leading the teams and operation performance in this part of China. Then Arbenz transferred to Shanghai as General Manager of InterContinental Shanghai Pudong and Regional General Manager for Shanghai.   The two years prior to his appointment in Shenzhen he was appointed Head of Operations East China working out of the IHG Greater China Corporate Office in Shanghai. 

20年的洲际酒店生涯使得艾宾斯先生备受来自团队成员的尊重与认可。其在中国的酒店生涯始于北京。艾宾斯先生曾成功带领团队完成了北京王府井皇冠假日酒店的翻新工作及北京新云南皇冠假日酒店在北京奥运会期间的盛大开业。随后，艾宾斯先生开启了自己第一家洲际品牌酒店的工作历程—出任北京北辰洲际酒店总经理同时兼任洲际酒店集团东北区域总经理，负责区域内酒店的监督和运营管理工作。艾宾斯先生的卓越贡献为北京北辰洲际在北京豪华酒店的领先地位奠定了坚实的基础。此后，艾宾斯先生内部调转至上海锦江汤臣洲际大酒店担任总经理和洲际酒店集团上海区域总经理。在前往深圳就任之前，艾宾斯先生任职洲际酒店集团华东区运营总监一职，在洲际酒店集团大中华区位于上海的办公室工作。

Mr. Arbenz has been repeatedly recognized for his enormous contributions to IHG, his hotels and the hospitality industry. During the last two year at IHG corporate  support center, he lead and inspired operation teams and General Managers in East China and drove hotel performance and talent development of his multi-branded hotel portfolio to success. He has just been award the Operation Leader Hotelier of 2017 by IHG.

艾宾斯先生的数次任命彰显了其在洲际酒店集团以及酒店行业的卓越贡献。在任职洲际酒店集团支持中心的两年时间内，他带领和激励区域内多个品牌酒店运营部门、总经理们完成酒店经营指标以及人才发展等各项工作。与此同时，艾宾斯先生刚刚收获由洲际酒店集团颁发的洲际酒店集团2017年度优秀运营领袖奖。

Arbenz brings 30-year of hospitality experience to his new role. Mr. Arbenz’s wealth of operational and managerial experience in Europe, Asia and China, will be an important strength to further develop InterContinental Shenzhen’s products and services and enhance the hotel's existing prestigious image.
