From the majestic grottoes of Datong to the vibrant hanging sculptures of Xixian, ancient temples, pagodas, archways, and stone carvings that have withstood the test of time…This summer, the game of "Black Myth: Wukong" has brought the ancient architecture of Shanxi back to life in modern light and shadow, allowing the world to see.

It is often said that life requires eyes that can discover beauty. In the world of education, these eyes are especially important. At SCA, as educators, we have witnessed the growth of many students:

Children who once found mathematics challenging, under the guidance and encouragement of their teachers, gradually fell in love with the subject and even achieved commendable results in math competitions. Students who were initially shy and introverted, found a sense of belonging through school activities and became more courageous in expressing themselves.

As you stroll along the school's velocity hub, around corners of classrooms or corridors, you may come across the works of our students. Teachers integrate these creations into the school's environmental design, making the students' creativity and accumulation visible everywhere.

Seeing the potential in every child, discovering their unique brilliance, encouraging them to try and explore, helping them find their direction, and providing support wherever possible, is what SCA educators have always been committed to doing. We believe that when students are seen, the hidden passions, inspirations, courage, and other beautiful forces within them can be awakened, thus unleashing a continuous upward growth momentum.

On Saturday, November 2nd, Guangzhou SCA International School will welcome its first Open Day of the academic year. During this school exploration, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the school step by step:

Seeing the Comprehensive SCA

When planning each full-school-section Open Day, we are always thinking about how to let visiting parents and children understand SCA as much as possible in just half a day, understand the information corresponding to each school section, and achieve the most efficient school exploration.

We hope that through the design of each link, everyone can understand our most real daily life.

Thus, there is the general introduction to the entire school exploration journey - the school introduction, like the preface of a book, where the school management and teaching teams will bring you a comprehensive introduction to SCA, which we believe can answer parents' initial questions, including but not limited to:

Course Experience: Witnessing the Ignition of Learning Passion

As you pass through the school's velocity hub, you might notice that the hallways and classrooms always display works and assignments from students of different school sections, including:

G5 and G6 students create full English commercials and stop-motion animations using iPads. In English class, children learn English vocabulary and speak English while exercising skills in scripting, acting, filming, and editing.

Middle school students creating a global map of domesticated animals and plants. In the comprehensive humanities class, they learn about the domestication of animals and plants in early human civilizations, try to distinguish grains, watch ancient maps, understand the original Chinese early human sites, the origins of Chinese agriculture, and establish a global historical and cultural perspective.

There are also paintings and sculptures completed in visual arts and calligraphy classes, each piece of work behind which is a flash of inspiration from the students.

In the course experience session, a variety of experience courses from different school sections will bring you the most authentic SCA classroom. You will see how SCA teachers guide students to become the leaders of their learning, stimulating their interest and passion for the subjects.

Parent Workshop: In-depth Discussion for Mutual Growth

We have prepared parent workshops for parents of different school sections, providing more detailed information sharing.

In this session, the teaching management teams from primary, middle, and international high schools will meet with parents to discuss various aspects of teaching implementation. We hope that through this interaction, parents can gain a deeper understanding of our educational philosophy and practices, including how UOI of  primary school,  foundation English programs ofmiddle school, and the Talent Development Programme of international high school are promoted and implemented in daily teaching.

In addition, we have arranged a campus tour, including teaching buildings, cafeterias, living areas, etc. During the tour, parents can not only browse student works but also listen to student volunteers share their school experiences.
