
Overview:
By the end of this one-day training, participants will be able assess to their own mindset and better direct their journey to adopt a growth a mindset at work. This practical workshop will include tools and methods focused on transforming personal mindsets, influencing team members to find a Growth perspective and contributing to a team culture that values growth and perseverance.
In this workshop we will use models of Growth Mindset and Grit popularized by Dr. Carol Dweck and Dr. Angela Duckworth with application directly into the roles of self and team management. Through this workshop participants will be better equipped to manage how they communicate with themselves in times of difficulty and how they can better communicate with their colleagues to support a growth team culture.
The workshop will use experiential learning activities, practical tools and business cases to keep participants engaged. Each participant will be able to assess their growth mindset and create a personal development plan to continue their journey after the workshop.

• Define and assess Growth and Fixed mindsets and their impact at work
• Take control of“self-talk”to empower mindsets
• Identify language that empowers 'victim" and "growth”thinking and adopt growth language at work
• Leverage the 70-20-10 development model to assess and plan impactful growth opportunities at work
• Address the three most common barriers to growth and practical applications to remove those barriers with constructive reframing

Trainer Introduction:

John Dorris is one of the Founders and Chief Cultural Officer of Sino Associates with more than 17 years of training, coaching, and facilitation experience in Asia, including 15 years of leadership development experience in China. John developed thousands of professionals in leadership practices across Asia and North America to develop a shared vision for the future, create alignment and drive engagement.
His signature Global Leadership course enables leaders to achieve greater business results across regions and cultures using the 3A© framework for building cultural Awareness, Adapting to diverse teams and business perspectives, and creating improved Access to resources and new markets.
In addition to providing services to corporate clients, John is an adjunct professor for HKU and Duke University on the topics of leadership and coaching.
