Jan 13 & 20: Influencing with Stories

Overview

By the end of this virtual training programme, participants will be able to write and tell stories that inform, inspire and influence others in their daily work.

Participants will understand what makes a great story and learn key storytelling techniques, so they can move their audiences to adopt their perspective and effectively sell their ideas, whether in a presentation or meeting.

Each participant will write their own stories which they can use back at work.

Key Learning Points:

Apply a 7-Point Story structure to take your audience on a journey

Understand what drive¡¯s your audience so your ideas can be persuasively linked to their values and concerns

Transform ideas into engaging stories using a simple, logical structure that relates your experience to the audience

Add depth to stories to really connect and influence your audience to adopt your perspective

Make a positive impression with powerful vocal delivery and impactful body language

Target Group:

This workshop will benefit professionals looking to compelling influence and communicate ideas to teammates, clients or other stakeholders.

Programme Format:

This programe will be delivered virtually on Zoom, split over two 2-hour workhops.

We will leverage Zoom¡¯s features to share, engage and interact, including: typing in chat, giving feedback, annotating (write, draw or stamp) on screen, joining breakout rooms and answering polls. Participants are expected to have their camera and microphone switched on, and be ready to share, interact and tell stories throughout the sessions.
