2017年广东英国商会高尔夫锦标赛

The 3rd British Chamber Golf Tournament was held at the Norman Golf Course at Dongguan Mission Hills on Friday 9th June 2017. We were delighted to welcome over 70 golfers to participate in our biggest sporting event to date. The weather was bright and scorching and although the heavens opened later in the day, the sudden summer downpours didn’t dampen our enthusiasm, as everyone continued to play in what turned out to be a very challenging competition.

2017年6月9日，第三届广东英国商会高尔夫锦标赛在东莞观澜湖格诺曼球场举行，这是目前我们规模最大的体育活动，吸引了华南区70多名球手前来挑战亚洲第一高难度的球场。大家在炎炎夏日中，热情挥杆。今年的赛事精彩不断，奖品丰富，大家都对本次赛事都予以了高度的认可！

The Award for the Best Dressed Team was given to BWPI Oriental Bazaar. They dressed in an eye-catching and patriotic way sporting matching hats, Union Jack T-shirts and tights, and white shorts. Other teams also took some creative photos.

今年的最佳英式着装奖花落BWPI Oriental Bazaar，他们头戴英伦圆顶礼帽，以英国国旗为上装，配以白色短裤和英式裤袜的创意十分抢眼！同时其他的球队也拍出了非常有创意的团队照。

There was further success in the Long Drive Challenge, where Oliver Whitehead, a grade A golf coach from the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) was beaten by over 20 players. Unfortunately, no-one was able to claim the ten thousand RMB cash prize sponsored by Kaplink given for hitting a Hole in One.

在最远距离挑战赛上，有20多名球员超过A级PGA职业高尔夫教练奥利弗·怀特海。一杆进洞赛制奖励是由Kaplink提供的一万元现金，吸引了球员们跃跃欲试，最终大家与大奖插肩而过。

In addition to these wonderful awards, a special prize was given to the team with the least score, named the ‘most’ team, to show our appreciation for everyone’s efforts and participation. .

除冠亚季军，最远距离奖和最近旗杆奖外，为感谢选手们的热情参与以及对我们年度高尔夫锦标赛的支持，本次赛事还设有分数最低的队伍也可以获得“最”球队的特殊奖励。

 Hole in One 挑战一杆进洞

Through this event we raised 5780 RMB for the Captivating International Foundation Ltd through Charity Hole. The Foundation is currently running a program that aims to provide illiterate girls in remote rural China with intensive vocational training. Thank you to the golfers for your generous donations.

值得一提的是在本次比赛的公益球洞上，我们为开普威汀国际基金会募集到了5780人民币善款，所有善款将会捐赠到中国偏远地区未接受到教育的女孩提供职业培训项目中。感谢所有球手的慷概捐赠和支持！

We were treated to an uplifting rendition of the bagpipes as the Awards Dinner began before enjoying a memorable evening. The friendly atmosphere ensured all of our guests were able to network and get to know one another in a relaxing environment. The Annual Golf Tournament has proven to not only be a gathering of international golfers but also an event that successfully promotes the British tradition of golf in South China.

颁奖典礼上以悠扬的苏格兰风笛声开场，现场氛围轻松愉悦，高潮不断，来自不同国家的球员们热情交流和互动。英商会的年度高球赛，不仅是一场国际高球手的聚会，也在华南地区成功的推广了传统英式高球文化。
