必备技能：

Senior Hardware Engineer (Remote) – TV & Media - Guangdong

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Hardware Engineer to join us in a Contract role based close to our design and manufacturing partners in China & Taiwan. This is a full-time position based in Guangdong. A leading UK technology company is looking to hire a Senior Hardware Engineer to handle local operations with its key suppliers in China and surrounding areas. This role will allow you to utilize your existing engineering skills in electronic design and engineering disciplines. You’ll form part of a global team, contributing to product development, verification & manufacture. The results of your work will be important to our clients who operate at the forefront of technologies using embedded hardware and software. The candidate will be hired under Kinyu’s China Desk model, which ensures a secure working environment and local employee engagement. As our key member of the team based in China you’ll engage with our design team as well as our clients, and our partners' teams on technical, process and management initiatives. We expect this to be an opportunity to develop yourself as well as contribute to the value we bring to our clients. You will work in a flexible environment reporting to a Group Lead or Project Manager and will have considerable exposure within the company, our client’s organization and our partners. You will need to bring a sound engineering knowledge, be able to learn ‘on the job’ and have first-rate communications skills. 

Overview of the role and responsibilities 

Mandatory Skills 

Able to work independently in third-party arenas with a flexible, proactive, cando approach. 

Demonstrable knowledge of electronic hardware architecture, design, test, compliance & production. 

Familiar with electronics hardware debug techniques. 

Familiar with viewing and understanding schematic drawings and PCB layouts using CAD tools. 

Familiarity or capability to learn Software architecture & design principles and methodologies. 

Ability to engage & support software development, debug and scripting techniques used in consumer electronics products. 

Have an in depth understanding of the New Product Introduction & Mass Production processes for embedded electronics products. 

Capable of understanding product requirement specifications. 

Capable of understanding and reporting likely impacts of technical issues on project or production schedules, and BoM or manufacturing costs. 

Desired Qualities 

A minimum of five years working in an electronic product development and production environment. 

Ability to understand complex engineering issues and clearly communicate them to technical or non-technical stakeholders, via email, phone, and other methods. 

 Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken. 

Excellent communication skills in Chinese (Mandarin), written and spoken. 

Be located in Guangdong Province and available for frequent local travel to our manufacturing and design partners & occasional worldwide travel to visit our office and our clients.
