OVERVIEW: AISG is looking for a Lifeguard who ensures patron safety at the AISG aquatic facility. The Lifeguard reports to the Aquatics Coordinator. The Lifeguard provides supervision for all aspects of the aquatics programming including student activities, both during and after school hours. Duties / Responsibilities: · Enforcing facility rules and regulations and educating patrons about the consequences of rule violations. · Preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors. · Recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to all emergencies. · Administering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using an automated external defibrillator (AED) in an emergency and if trained, administering oxygen when needed. · Informing other lifeguards, facility staff and management when more help or equipment is needed. · Providing excellent customer service without compromising safety. · Work collaboratively and maintain a line of communication with the aquatics department, swim coaches, health & physical education teachers, and facility maintenance personnel to maintain a safe aquatics center. · Have familiarity with and the ability to operate facility -specific rescue equipment, including resuscitation masks, BVMs, and spinal backboards. · Maintains a facility-specific facility safety checklist. · Knows the facility-specific Emergency Action Plan. · Participating in frequent refreshers and in-service training such as regularly conducting Emergency Action Plan drills. · Log and document emergency care as well as maintain accurate records of injuries according to Emergency Action Plan (EAP) protocol. · Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Activities as well as the Aquatics Coordinator. 职责和责任: · 执行设施规章制度,并就违反规则的后果对使用人员进行教育。 · 通过尽量减少或消除危险情况或行为来防止伤害。 · 快速有效地识别和响应所有紧急情况。 · 实施急救和心肺复苏术(CPR),在紧急情况下使用自动体外除颤器(AED),如果受过培训,在需要时供氧。 · 在需要更多帮助或设备时通知其他救生员、设施工作人员和管理人员。 · 在不影响安全的情况下提供卓越的服务。 · 与水上运动部门、游泳教练、健康和体育教师以及设施维护人员协同工作并保持沟通,以维护水上运动中心的安全。 · 熟悉并能够操作设施特定的救援设备,包括复苏面罩、BVM 和脊柱背板。 · 维护特定的设施安全检查表。 · 了解特定设施的紧急行动计划。 · 参加相关的进修和在职培训,例如定期进行紧急行动计划演习。 · 根据紧急行动计划(EAP) 协议,记录并记录紧急护理并维护准确的伤害记录。 · 体育和活动总监以及游泳池主管指定的其他职责。
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: · Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in aquatics (international school setting preferred) · Minimum Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field. · Lifeguard Certification by the American Red Cross (or equivalent) with up-to-date CPR and first aid qualification. · Preferred English language proficiency as well as bi/tri-lingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese · Strong interpersonal and communication skills 所需的资格和经验: · 至少 2 年的水上运动相关经验(国际学校环境优先) · 至少持有相关领域的学士学位 · 美国红十字会(或同等)救生员认证,具有最新的心肺复苏术和急救资格。 · 优先考虑拥有双语/三语能力的候选人:英语、普通话/广东话 · 良好的人际关系和沟通技巧
