2020 Guangzhou British DayBlessed with sunny Canton autumn weather, the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong held another fun British Day for our members, the public and many families that attended. The 2020 Guangzhou British Day welcomed nearly 1,500 guests from the local and international community all spending the day in the sun, enjoying traditional British culture through the food and live performances. Building upon the hugely successful 2017 Guangzhou British Day at the same location, our 2020 Guangzhou British Day (9th anniversary) was again hosted at Favorview Palace. 乘着广州阳光灿烂的冬天，广东英国商会再次成功举办了有趣的广州英国日，为我们的会员，粉丝和中外家庭带来了欢乐的秋季嘉年华。我们很荣幸现场有近 1500 位的来宾与我们同庆第九届 2020 广州英国日。有了 2017 广州英国日的巨大成功，本届再次在汇景新城举行。 During the day, family-friendly games at the booths, brilliant performances on stage from our little friends from schools along with a diverse set of British food and beverage helped build excitement throughout the whole day. To help the attendees embrace British culture, we kicked off the event with the traditional bagpiper, playing his way along the path to his arrival at the main stage and afterwards we enjoyed a feast of music from the edgy rock band No Why - playing a full range of mixed British classic hits from many era’s. 活动以传统风笛表演开场，风笛手从会场外面沿着小径，经过摊位，走上舞台，为英国文化盛宴拉开序幕。紧接着，英国乐队“No Why”给我们带来了风格的颠覆，从传统文化穿越到流行摇滚英国文化，为我们带来了多首嗨爆的带感摇滚歌曲。
Song and dance and African drum performance from a selection of our international school members. Their performances lit up with lovely smiley faces and vibrant energy grabbed attention all along. 我们的国际学校会员为我们带来了活力歌舞和非洲鼓表演。他们富有节奏的表演，加上可爱的笑脸和热情活力，引来了台下观众的阵阵掌声。
Tug of war competition witnessed a lot of Hercules like men, women and children pulling the rope with bare hands – winning prizes at the end! 拔河比赛发掘了不少大力神，无论男女老少都积极参与，徒手抓住绳索，赢取神秘奖品！
Other sports and games including egg and spoon, bouncy castle, Best British Film Character Role Play Competition kept the children busy and our ice cream vendors busy too as the hot sun shone on the excited and lively children – parents joined in too, an excuse for more beers and wines supplied from our food & beverage members. 滚鸡蛋、充气城堡、最佳英国电影人物角色扮演大赛等体育和游戏活动使孩子们都嗨翻天，玩的游戏一个接一个。一旁陪伴的家长也不会觉得无聊，纷纷吃起了雪糕，喝起了啤酒和葡萄酒，一扫早秋的炎热。
Booth owners from various industries including education, healthcare, finance, consulting, and F&B kept everyone entertained, informed and well fueled – there was something for everyone. 来自教育、医疗保健、金融、咨询和餐饮等行业的摊主都各施其技，准备了丰富多样的游戏，使得来宾都满载而归，会场充满欢声笑语。
Three rounds of lucky draw throughout the day allowed a breather for the performers, however the crowd were fully engaged, hoping to win the many prizes on offer. Thanks to all our generous sponsors, lucky attendees on that day walked away with great prizes including airline tickets, hotel stays, buffet vouchers, restaurant discounts, travel suitcases and travel kits. On top of this, we won't forget our special raffle draw which raised nearly RMB 10,000, which was donated to one of our charity partners, The Hopeful Heart Foundation, who fund life-saving heart surgery for children from low-income families. Thank you to all who bought charity raffle tickets at British Day - it means a lot to us too. 三轮幸运抽奖让表演者能稍事休息，但是观众们依然忙得不可开交，他们都在忙着赢取许多奖品。感谢所有慷慨的赞助商，当天幸运儿不仅获得了机票、酒店自助餐券、餐厅折扣，还有旅行手提箱和旅行包等等。而这次慈善奖券一共筹集了将近 10,000 元人民币，全额捐赠给了 Hopeful Heart 慈善机构，该基金会为低收入家庭的孩子提供心脏手术。在此衷心感谢所有在广州英国日购买慈善抽奖券的您，您的善举对我们而言意义重大。
