Early Years Teacher

The right candidate will hold a teaching qualification (QTS), have a passion for teaching & learning, has excellent knowledge of the EYFS, is motivated to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, uphold our high standards of care, and have a warm smile and a kind heart.

In Early Years at BIS, teachers are supported by a team of TAs and nannies (ayis) throughout the day. The teacher would be responsible for planning all learning activities in advance and sharing this planning with their team. Early Years teachers are responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and review of lessons, consistent with EYFS learning aims and outcomes.

Our students will bring a wide range of prior experience, as they have joined us from different countries; They are motivated, enthusiastic and fun to teach. 

We have strong relationships with our parents, partly due to regular communication between home and school. The ideal candidate should be committed to providing weekly content via Classdojo. 

 

Salary: ANNUAL SALARY RANGE 255,000rmb - 350,000rmb p.a. gross depending on qualifications and experience. International insurance; housing allowance; relocation fee; flight allowance.

Primary Homeroom Teacher

The right candidate will hold a teaching qualification (QTS), have a passion for teaching & learning, excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum, is motivated to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, uphold our high standards of care, and be able to build relations with students. 

Primary homeroom teachers are responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and review of lessons, consistent with National Curriculum learning aims and outcomes. We currently follow the Read Write Inc program in lower Primary, and have ability setting for literacy lessons. We also have the support of a full time ELL specialist. Lessons in Art & Design, PE, Music and Chinese are delivered by specialist teachers, allowing homeroom teachers to have dedicated PPA time. Our students will bring a wide range of prior experience, as they have joined us from different countries; They are motivated, enthusiastic and fun to teach.

Teacher of Maths, or Maths and Science

The right candidate will hold a teaching qualification (QTS), have a passion for teaching & learning, excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment, is motivated to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, uphold our high standards of care, and be able to build relations with students. 

Secondary teachers at BIS are responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and review of lessons, consistent with National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment learning aims and outcomes. The candidate should be experienced with delivering Maths, or Maths and Science,  to Key stage 3 and 4 students. 

Working closely with STEAM, we are looking for teachers who are willing to collaborate as a team to enthuse and engage our students. As a new school we are still developing our program and you will play a key part in creating forward thinking, inter-disciplinary projects.

Secondary English Teacher

The right candidate will hold a teaching qualification (QTS), have a passion for teaching & learning, excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment, is motivated to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, uphold our high standards of care, and be able to build relations with students. 

Secondary English teachers at BIS are responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and review of lessons, consistent with National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment learning aims and outcomes. The candidate should be experienced with delivering English and English Literature to Key stage 3 and 4 students. 

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop the English dept at BIS. The role would be suitable for either a teacher who is looking to develop their career and wants to move into dept leader role, or an experienced teacher who has already developed imaginative and engaging English Language and Literature provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The ability to contribute to the PSHE program would be desirable, but not a necessity.

ESL teacher

Normally at least 2 years. But if an applicant has an English teacher qualification certificate such as TESOL/TEFL/PGCE, or a bachelor degree or above in education, or in English, an applicant with teaching experience less than 2 years is considered.
