Fettes College Guangzhou is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Business Operations) to lead and direct staff and service providers related to the safe and efficient operation of its new Guangzhou Campus, which will house a premium PK-12 bi-lingual international school.
In the pre-opening year the role will work to support the office and set-up arrangement required for the school on the various offices used by staff as well as assist the Headmaster in successfully delivering the school ¡®on time and on budget¡¯ under the direction of the School¡¯s Advisory Board.
The ideal candidate will have: At least 5+ years of project and contract management, operations, and customer service experience. This will ideally have been in a context that includes international staff in an Educational Institution or related service industry Team management and compliance experience, working with regulatory bodies, strategic planning, and business development University degree or industry related qualification at similar level Exemplary written/spoken English, as well as Mandarin. Job Responsibilities:Staff Management (all non-teaching roles) Provide guidance and technical support to operations staff. Assign roles and accountabilities, oversee performance management, identify training and development opportunities, provide coaching and mentoring. Purchasing and Contract Management Oversee the planning, purchase, delivery, and contract management of goods and services and the leasing of campus facilities. Ensure the campus meets the short- and long-term needs of the schools, factoring in the upkeep and upgrades of facilities and accommodating student enrollment growth. Health and Safety As health and safety lead for the campus, ensure that all aspects of the campus meet/exceed all related requirements stated by government authorities. Ensure that effective and safe transportation is provided by working with either in-house or a third-party transportation provider. Staff AccommodationIn combination of using our own in-house provision as well and working with the support from a third-party accommodation provider, plan and source appropriate accommodation for applicable staff as required. Compliance Responsible for operational compliance pertaining to all relevant government authorities. Lead the development, implementation, management, and revision of campus operational policies. Ensure that that they properly consider impacted stakeholders and allow for the campus to be compliant with government regulations / other requirements. In this our opening year (starting September 2020), Fettes College Guangzhou will open in years Kindergarten to Grade Nine and will then move to be a full K-12 school. From this opening position, it is expected that in a relatively short period of time the school will operate a full iGCSE and A-Level and IB Programme aiming to be the leading British bilingual and international school in Guangdong and then all of China.
The School will work closely with the local education regulator to ensure that not only are all regulator and accreditation requirements fulfilled but will act as an example of best practice to be shared in many areas of teaching and pupil experience.

The campus team will be required to provide the support of a complete service provision, which will provide all business operational support to the School on a 24/7 basis across the school year and, as required, during vacation periods for school-based camps and activities.
