BritCham Guangdong is a SLUSHer!
As part of our Greater Bay Area focus, the technology industry including fintech, AI, IOT, green energy and others is increasingly appearing on the BritCham radar. We strive to keep up to date for our members through exploration and learning with industry knowledge. To acquire more information about the trend in the advanced technology industry, on 8th August, BritCham GD attended the SLUSH event in Shenzhen, and met some friends new and old.
This event helped us understand how we can help traditional manufacturing members and new tech members through the expansive and informative speeches; where of particular interest was about smart transportation, manufacturing incubators, clean energy; all delivered by industry pioneers. We can inform our members that there are many disruptors and across industries our members need to be cognizant of five latest technology trends regarding big data, where the future of IOT is heading to and the revolution of future transportation.
This tech and innovation SLUSH event attracted lots of innovative young blood and entrepreneurs having started in Shanghai and made its way to Guangdong. We were glad to be part of this event as it indicated that our focus on these growing sectors for existing members and new members allows us to better be informed on disruptors not only in technology but policy and challenges our members will face as the initiatives are rolled out to 2023. We also know that the thriving and vigorous Shenzhen city authorities supports talented and creative entrepreneurs; helping nurture Internet and tech companies like some of newest members.
