September 25: The Adolescent Journey - Special Education Needs and Mental Health

Special educational needs is an important factor of mental health, people often confuse it for a disability and find it hard to handle or manage a child’s behavior referring to is as a disability order.

This often fosters for mis-diagnose and no benefit to the growth of the child’s learning and development. Another factor of special educational needs is that a lot of education professionals do not identify these in time.

Adolescents seem to be more mature, and certainly more tech savvy, than any other previous generation, however that idea may be misleading.  They are still very susceptible to depression, anxiety and other problems of our modern world.
