2018 BritCham Guangzhou Christmas Gala Dinner 广州圣诞晚宴Saturday Dec 8th 2018, Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou 广州文华东方酒店，2018年12月8日星期六 Jingle bells are ringing out as Christmas is just around the corner. To celebrate the festive season, once again this year the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong held our Christmas Gala Dinner on the 8th December at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, welcoming almost 200 guests for Christmas food, drinks, festive music and prize giveaways. The Chamber would like to give special thanks to our sponsors, Foshan EtonHouse International School, CreditEase Wealth Management(Beijing)Co.,Ltd, St. James’s Place Wealth Management, Canadian International School (Guangzhou). Without their support, this event would not have been such a great success. 节日的钟声徐徐响起，圣诞节就要来啦。为了庆祝即将到来的圣诞节，广东英国商会于12月8日在广州文华东方酒店举办了一场圣诞晚宴，接近200名宾客们齐聚共享晚宴，欢庆圣诞。由衷感谢佛山伊顿国际学校、宜信卓越财富投资管理（北京）有限公司广州分公司、申展（上海）商务信息咨询有限公司、加拿大人国际学校。在你们的鼎力支持之下，本次晚宴顺利举行。
The dinner began with an opening speech from Christopher Devereux, Vice Chairman of British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong who welcomed the guests. It was also our honor to have the British Consulate-General Guangzhou Consul-General, Ms. Karen Maddocks join us for the evening and give a speech wishing Christmas cheer to everyone. 晚宴由广东英国商会副会长Christopher Devereux先生的欢迎致辞拉开了序幕。此外，我们还荣幸地邀请到了英国驻广州总领事Ms. Karen Maddocks出席本次晚宴, 并给来宾们致以圣诞节日的问候。

Throughout the whole evening guests enjoyed Christmas music and a delicious Christmas buffet dinner provided by Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The dress code for the Christmas gala dinner was gold or silver bling and our guests certainly dressed to impress! 活动当晚，嘉宾们在圣诞音乐的氛围里享用广州文华东方酒店精心准备的圣诞自助餐。圣诞晚宴的着装要求是金色或银色元素。来看一看我们嘉宾闪亮的装扮。
To get guests into the festive mood, the entertainment kicked off with a wonderful Christmas choir from Foshan EtonHouse International School. While guests were enjoying their Christmas dinner, a beautiful guitar and violin performance added yet more festive atmosphere to the evening. 晚会伊始，佛山伊顿国际学校的合唱团为我们歌唱了圣诞颂歌，让宾客们切身体会到圣诞的节日氛围。在嘉宾们享用圣诞自助餐的同时，小提琴吉他演奏为晚宴增添了一丝愉悦舒适的气氛。
To help those in need, during the evening we sold charity raffle tickets and we are very happy to announce that we raised RMB 7,000 during the evening. Proceeds from the raffle tickets will be donated to Hopeful Hearts. 在庆祝这个欢乐节日的同时，广东英国商会希望能借由我们微小的力量，帮助到有需要的群体。活动当晚我们售卖了慈善奖券，共筹集到了人民币7,000。所筹得款项将捐助至心的希望，同时在此我们对参与慈善的嘉宾表示衷心感谢！
The Lucky Draw marked the climax of the evening. Guests were all looking forward to being gifted with a stroke of luck and to win a great prize. The prizes included a round trip business class ticket from Hongkong to London sponsored by British Airways as well as many more fantastic prizes and vouchers. The fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors also made the Quiz a special highlight of the evening. Only those with quick minds, and even quicker thumbs were able to win a prize! 幸运抽奖是晚上的一大重头戏。嘉宾们都非常期盼着被好运砸中。丰厚的奖品包括1张香港往返伦敦的商务舱机票以及其他现金券。由赞助商提供的精美奖品也使有奖问答活动成为圣诞晚宴的一大亮点。嘉宾们踊跃回答问题，赢取心动大奖。
Along with the performances from the British Underground band, we selected the top 3 posts with most likes in WeChat moments tonight, each of them won 2 bottles of red wine. The Happy Monk Team also led guests in an interesting game of ‘Bingo’ which was a lot of fun! This evening we took a live photo, the photographer took photos and uploaded pictures in real time, so that everyone can download the photos at any time. 伴随着来自英国Underground乐队的表演，我们选出了今晚微信朋友圈集赞数量最多的三位，他们每人赢得了2瓶红酒。同时，Happy Monk团队也给我们带来了有趣的Bingo游戏, 给大家带来无限欢乐。 此次晚宴采取了照片直播的方式，由摄影师实时拍摄并上传图片，方便大家随时查看现场的美照。
