Overview:

LEH International School Foshan will be formally opening to students aged between 10 and 18 in September 2020. Its parent school, Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, London was established in 1710 and consistently achieve outstanding academic results. Last year, 98% of the students achieved grades A*-B at A Level and 93% grades A*-A (levels 97) at GCSE. Over 10% of the students attained a place at either Cambridge or Oxford University.


LEH International School Foshan will follow the footsteps of its parent school in providing a holistic British education to young people with a particular focus on their pastoral care. The students also have the option of weekly or termly boarding to take advantage of the School’s extensive facilities.


This is an exciting time for a highly motivated professional with excellent science technical skills to join the LEHF academic team. The post-holder will make a significant contribution to the future success of the School.


Background: 

The Administration Supervisor shall oversee office operations and administrative staff members ensuring the school office operates smoothly and efficiently.


Job Responsibilities: 

·  Supervising and undertaking day-to-day operations of the administrative department including reception, administration and reprographic functions.

· Supervising and leading the administrative team and weekly/daily allocation of additional tasks and cover work to ensure that the department runs smoothly.

· Developing, reviewing and improving administrative systems, policies and procedures.

· Ensuring office is stocked with necessary stationery and administrative supplies and all office equipment is working and properly maintained;

· Planning, scheduling, and supporting School events, including meetings, conferences, parent/student visits , and training sessions.

· Making business travel arrangements based on authorised itineraries.

· Collecting, organising, and storing administrative information using computers and filing systems;

· Answering phone calls, letters, and emails and/or directing these communications to the correct department/staff person in a timely manner.

· Performing any other tasks as reasonably requested by the PA to the Head Master, the Director of Finance and Operations and the Head Master.


Requirements:

Background: The receptionist is the first point of contact for the visitors to our school. Making clients and visitors to the site feel welcome and answering all their questions is the primary work.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

· Representing the school with a positive attitude and professional appearance;

· Contact host when visitors arrive, issue security pass, ensuring visitors sign and understand our safeguarding policy, and ensure visitors are accompanied around the secure areas of the School;

· Answering phone calls, letters, and emails and/or directing these communications to the correct department/staff person in a timely manner;

· Maintaining the reception area in an orderly tidy condition, liaising with House Keeping as necessary;

· Assisting with the planning, scheduling, and supporting office events, including meetings, conferences, orientations, and training sessions.

· Maintaining front door security and reporting any suspicious activity to Security;

· Collecting, organising, and storing administrative information using computers and filling systems;

· Performing any other tasks as reasonably requested by the PA to the Head Master, the Director of Finance and Operations and the Head Master.

Job title: Technician - Science

Salary Range: RMB 86,000 – 140,000 dependent on experience


Background:  The Science Technician will support the delivery of science lessons in a well-resourced and efficient environment, with due regard to the health and safety of all students and staff.


Job Responsibilities: 

· Oversee the running of laboratories.

· Equip the appropriate laboratory with all the apparatus and reagents for any practical work needed.

· Manage the system of weekly equipment and set-up requests for lessons.

· Set up laboratory apparatus as requested by the teacher and check that it functions properly. Make sure all glassware is clean and ready for use. Liaise with the teacher concerned at the earliest opportunity in the event of any difficulty.

· Provide and check apparatus for the duration of any project work. Advise students as to suitability and correct use of apparatus.

· Assist/advise staff about the suitability and availability of apparatus for practical work.

· Prepare risk assessments of procedures and experiments for review by the Head of Science.

· Carry out daily and weekly checks of all laboratories as directed by the Head of Science.

· Tidy up wherever possible each laboratory after each practical, remove dirty glassware and any reagents that may be left over, and wash up glassware.

· Lock up laboratories and stores and secure equipment when not in use.

· Prepare and maintain an inventory of apparatus and chemicals. Maintain appropriate stock levels and order replacements as appropriate. Arrange for disposal of unwanted, hazardous or expired chemicals and biohazards in accordance with agreed procedures.

· Purchase supplies of perishable items for experiments as required.

· Ensure all appropriate inspections and tests for all portable electrical equipment and fume cupboards are conducted in accordance with agreed procedures.

· Repair and maintain equipment. Service relevant equipment (eg microscopes, weighing balances) annually.

· Complete/check any paperwork (such as purchase requests, invoices, delivery notes etc). Liaise with the Finance Department over budget matters in consultation with the Head of Science. Maintain spreadsheet of expenditure.

· Photocopy worksheets, exam papers and revision packs.

· Keep up-to-date with safety regulations and advise members of staff as appropriate.

· Ensure equipment and experimental work conforms to Health and Safety policy and regulations.

· Performing any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Head of Science.


Requirements:
