The British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong (BCC) is seeking a Membership Services Manager to begin work in Shenzhen as soon as possible.

The Role of Membership Services Manager

The Membership Services Manager shall be primarily responsible for maintaining the relations and servicing the Shenzhen Membership of the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong (BCC). Please see the duties below: 


1. Assist in the day to day management of the Shenzhen office

2. Research, identify and recruit new Chamber members in Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area

3. Answer all membership and other stakeholder enquiries 

4. Support the Chamber in the orgainsation of all Shenzhen related events 

5. Work closely with the Guangzhou BCC team 

6. Provide weekly membership and general status reports to the Guangzhou Executive Manager 

7. Assist with BCC strategic direction 

8. Regularly attend BCC events in Shenzhen as well as networking opportunities to generate more members 

9. Manage office systems and protocols for increased efficiency and quality of service 

10. Record and manage all cash flows associated with the Shenzhen office

11. Coordinate and attend monthly Executive Committee meetings 

The Successful Candidate 

The successful candidate should possess excellent written and spoken English & Chinese language skills and should ideally possess the following: 

1. Have at least 4 years working experience 

2. Have a good knowledge of business and industry in the Greater Bay Area

3. Be sales and entrepreneurially orientated, willing to implement own ideas and initiatives 

4. Maintain strong networks that can be leveraged to enhance chamber's services 

5. Must be able to multi-task and be happy to work with Sales Targets

6. Possess marketing and business development experience - preferably in an international organisation 

7. Excellent computer Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

8. Be able to work independently and be self-motivated, sociable and confident to deal with business leaders

9. Be enthusiastic and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skills 

10. Be well organized, systematic and flexible. For example, be willing to share responsibilities that do not fall directly under the job description
